Summer Learning

We are excited to continue offering some of our beloved summer programs this year! Although we have received reduced funding for summer learning, we remain committed to creating meaningful opportunities for students. The State's Summer Learning focus has shifted from connection and social-emotional learning to a stronger emphasis on literacy, encouraging programs that are rich in reading and language development. We’re proud to once again partner with the YMCA to provide engaging camp experiences for K–5th grade students. New this year, a dedicated team will offer high-dose tutoring to help build foundational literacy skills—complementing the YMCA’s already language- and literacy-rich, play- and project-based curriculum. We’re also excited to partner with the Walla Walla Watershed Basin for a 4th–8th grade Hydromania Camp. The Missoula Children’s Theatre will return, and our popular sports camp will be back—with a fun literacy twist!
